In January 2008, just before the Great Recession started, 25% of college educated Blacks were employed by a government agency or a government contractor.
I have searched for a more recent number, but I can’t find one.
I would be very surprised if that number is now below 25%.

I can’t believe the figure was only 25%, but then again, the government is forcing private companies to take on their share of “diversity hires”. I suspect the current figure is much higher now because in my limited experience, companies are just hiring Hispanics and Asians instead of blacks. No lawsuits, and smaller shoulder chips...
