A former Democratic congressional staffer pleaded guilty Friday to federal charges related to his leaking personal information about Republican senators and threatening a witness who caught him in the act.
Jackson A. Cosko, 27, of D.C., copped to five offenses, including computer fraud, making public restricted personal information, witness tampering and obstruction of justice.
He faces nearly five years in prison when he is sentenced June 13.
Cosko admitted to doxing, the act of posting personal information about another individual online. He said the goal was to threaten and intimidate the senators and their families.
He posted the personal addresses and phone numbers of Sen. Mike Lee of Utah and four other Republicans who were key figures in the confirmation fight over Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh.
Prosecutors said Cosko posted the information on Wikipedia during and after the Sept. 27, 2019, hearing on sexual assault allegations against Justice Kavanaugh.

Doxing?
Is that some new form of gay sex?
So do I.
I am sure this will make the MSM tonight. /S
LOL! If so it looks like it and Bradley Manning would hit it off.
He is going to turn a lot of heads in prison!! Bound to be “loved” by MANY!!!
Hes going to be mighty popular in a Federal penitentiary.
L
Let’s see now.
His crimes could have led to Senators getting shot. Like Steve Scalise, a real victim of Rat party hate.
Now let’s compare him to Paul Manafort.
Manafort apparently believed that his tax avoidance schemes were legal, or at least perceptually legal. In any event they were “crimes” that are usually resolved by an IRS audit followed by a tax bill. Not solitary confinement for months on end.
No one intimidated. No one hurt.
But will junior walk with probation and a stern talking to?
We all know the answer.
“Justice” for Republicans? Draconian penalties, drop an anvil on them.
Democrats? The Jussie Smollet treatment: not only do they walk, they can stick their tongue out at the cops as they leave the building.
>> the act of posting personal information about another individual online
Is it actually illegal to do this? or is his crime that he used restricted access to get the information he posted?
Reporters post personal information all the time.
He’s a pencil neck like Schiff.
He’s a democrat. The judge and the DoJ are likely to go easy on him.
Sadly you’re correct.
Me too, but I'm not holding my breath. My guess is he'll get closer to the min. rather than the max.
On FRIDAY, of course.....

I would think so, he plead guilty to the charges in the article.
