The film, for those who are uninitiated, follows the real-life journey of Planned Parenthood defector Abby Johnson from abortion mouthpiece to pro-life crusader.
I was blown away by how effectively UNPLANNED manages to be genuinely entertaining, & exposes all-things abortion.
Actress Ashely Bratcher is spectacular, followed only by the performance of Robia Scott, who plays a beautiful villain as the Planned Parenthood executive overseeing Johnson.
Much like the abortion industry itself, the character on the outside is neat and beautiful, but ugly, vicious, and money-driven just below the surface.
The most important scene to me was not the powerful ultrasound-guided abortion that changed Johnsons life forever, which has been well-advertised but a different abortion depicted in the film that is induced by pills.
As Johnson described in her book, abortion via pill, somehow, sounds more natural, as if its not really an abortion.
The friend I saw the movie with, who actually works in film and is understandably critical of so-called Christian flicks, told me it was the most emotionally draining movie hes ever seen.

Saw it. Really well done. Go see it!
I live in a small town of 20k or so. One of the women here petitioned the local theater to carry it. It starts tonight and runs for a week. We’re going...
For those who did see this movie AND “God’s Not Dead” (the previous movie made by this same guy):
Was this movie worse, as good, or better than the previous movie..?
Totally agree.
Great!
I don’t really have the time, but I’ll be making the time to see the movie this weekend.
This movie is unique because it’s controversial & politically incorrect. The media won’t advertise it & doesn’t even want the public to know it exists. Plus, it’s a powerful movie & well done.
Glad to hear it. We went to a T Party meeting last night, and everyone was talking about it.
It only gets a 6.7 review rating on IMDb...and that rating has not moved x a wk. Surely with all the positive reviews on FR, u would think the 6.7 would go up.
It will be a late showing when I go. Have to save the daylight hours to mow weeds.
Our overlords would never allow that.
I went to see it last night with several people from my church. Its a must see for everyone.
I saw both and loved both. But this one may have a more far-ranging effect.
If enough people see this, “Unplanned” could be akin to this century’s “Uncle Tom’s Cabin.” It would be hard to imagine viewers coming away with any trace of sympathy for Planned Parenthood. We watch Abby Johnson’s go from typical college student to Planned Parenthood advocate to pro-life champion, after learning more about Planned Parenthood and finally witnessing an abortion first-hand. (The viewer also sees this, on an ultrasound.) The movie also exposes the corporate decision-making process of Planned Parenthood, which exists to profit on increasing numbers of abortions, regardless of their public persona.
I have my ticket for a Saturday matinee! Family in another town says they are going Sunday. I am so glad these movies are coming out. So many are ignorant and/or ignoring the facts surrounding abortion industry, politics, procedures, and dangers to all.
The authoress should have explained *why* abortion is genocide. She conveniently leaves that out.
Is that like “Click on this video before they take it down”? Or just a recommendation?
I have a greater respect for how despicable, vicious, ruthless & mercenary Planned Parenthood is.
I wonder how old a girl should be to see this.
I’m still trying to figure out how to pronounce Prestigiacomo.
