WHY did you delay, for an entire year?
Why?
Wait until we get the “full” story. It isn’t like Trump to go soft, so there is another shoe to drop in this matter.

Because the President is NOT a xenophobe. He is giving the Mexicans a perfectly good chance to take some audacious steps on their side of the border, to stop this dribble, dribble, dribble influx of persons of unknown antecedents, and simultaneously close their OWN southern border. Mexico has the capability to do this virtually overnight, if they so choose.
The Mexicans would have virtually no problem in forcibly returning these migrants from Honduras, El Salvador and Guatemala to their own places of origin, as there is virtually no language barrier there, and Mexico can be a very hostile place for foreign nationalities, as many Americans have found to their own great regret.
Now, Mexico has several internal problems, as there is a large criminal element in their country, that seems to make up its own rules. It is the very presence of this criminal element, and those other criminal elements that Mexico is simply passing through to the US from points further south. Mexico is going to have to get their collective wits working to overcome this very large internal problem, and in the process, undertake major reform that drags them from the 18th Century to the 21st Century. Mexico no longer has the privilege of behaving like a backward Third World country, and they have been handed a stern warning to pick up the pace, not just a little, but a LOT, to get back into a competitive position in the world.
We may yet see US Marines deployed on the Rio Grande and points west on the international border. I believe that the US Marine Corps is specifically NOT subject to the provisions of the Posse Comitatus Act (which applies to Army and Air Force), and may be deployed as a peace-keeping force within the continental US. The Coast Guard has a similar duty assignment exception, but of course, they must be actually ON a vessel and not dry land.
This is either a national emergency or it isn’t.
Towns and communities in multiple states are being overrun with illegal aliens and they are MAXED OUT in resources.
It does NOT take Mexico an entire year to close its southern border.
I shot off an angry email to the President just a little while ago and I would urge you all to do the same.
He’s all over the place on this.. someone is pulling strings.
Because Trump is surrounded by radical Free Trade globalists. He is not around ‘normals’ anymore.
It's such a retreat from his stated positions. Even a betrayal.

What I am seriously concerned about here is that our President is following his political advisers, not his instincts ... and just positioning his response as a typical political Clinton or Obamaesque ... Drawing another Line In in the Sand ..... a Full "YEAR" down the road just in time for the election making it look like a political move instead of a Defensive reaction to the Invasion Threat.....
...In the mean time the increasingly massive size of the invasionary mobs nearing our border are not being addressed immediately so consequently our already Disintegrating immigration system will only get worse to the point of collapse ...
...... And the invasion continues....... Still unchecked .... There will be more massive caravans in the next few weeks and months .... We can't wait a year for a response .... The invaders need to be stopped NOW .... Why you ask?????
..... Well .... Consider this .... A year from now there will be .... AT LEAST .... a full MILLION more invaders that us taxpayers will be supporting with our hard earned money .... so that they can just then go out ... at the command of the Democrat Communists ... And use their illegal votes to Topple our Constitutional Republic .... And replace it with the coming new Socialist States of America ....
