Dürkheimer Riesenfass (Dürkheim Giant Barrel), a restaurant and wine bar in Bad Dürkheim, near Kallstadt, hometown of Friedrich Trump. I had lunch inside the barrel in 1968.
I spent a few day in Bad Dürkheim, in September 1974. I was in the army stationed at Mannheim Germany in the Sandhofen Barracks.
It wad during the beerfest. Me and my buddy would walk down the rows and rows of tables, and one of us would tap someone on the shoulder and ask a question, while the other took their stein of beer. We got wasted without spending a dime.
Wow, that was so many years ago. I have many memories of those days.
