I’m clearly “culturally deprived”, I had no idea what avocado toast was until I looked it up just now. Looks like something that most people wouldn’t really miss.
I seriously don’t understand the popularity of it...the stuff is bleh. It’s like some avocado-toast subroutine was uploaded to scores of NPC millenials.
You aren’t missing much in taste, CDC just issued a Listeria warning for them. And Kroger’s just stuck the slightly pricey things on sale for 99 cents special. LOL
They are like Tofu crappy tasting. Then again I’m 70 and Meat and Potatoes are the diet mainstays in our house, the Mister is 78, so you aren’t changing either of our eating habits, I’ve just learned to cook a little smarter with pain sprays instead of a lot of oil. Bake and Broil more.
I had to look it up, too. Looks interesting, but I wouldn’t miss it if avocados weren’t available. Cream cheese and jelly is always around.
