President Donald Trump on Friday issued a new presidential permit for the long-delayed Keystone XL pipeline, reaffirming his support for the controversial project while also apparently seeking to sidestep a current federal lawsuit that blocks construction. The presidents order on Friday supersedes and rescinds a previous permit Trump signed shortly after taking office in 2017. But it also seeks to kick-start the crude oil pipeline by opening a way around a current lawsuit.

"The presidents action today clarifies the national importance of Keystone XL, and aims to bring more than 10 years of environmental review to closure, the company (TransCanada) said Friday.
"But Stephan Volker, an attorney for an environmental group that sued to stop the project, called Trumps move illegal"
Judges can apparently step in and block the Executive branch at any time.
But if the Executive branch tries again and adopts a new strategy, that would be “illegal”.
Controversial project? Ha ha.
Won’t this pipeline negatively affect our trade balance with Canada?
When is McConnell going to go nuclear and get all these judges approved?
We need a 3 overturns and your out provision so we can get the political animals off the court.
This project has gone on too long, judges are in restraint of trade, this is not a free market any longer.
This is the most studied project since the Pyramids.

Why is something buried in the ground and invisible controversial?
Why is something buried in the ground and invisible controversial?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Because it is on sacred native grounds or something.
As compared to the millions of miles of pipes and wires already in the ground on the same land.
It’s a liberal thing and you should not apply logic and facts to it. It just confuses them.
The courts are way over powered. If one branch can override another but can’t be overridden how is that co equal?
A United States that is energy independent from any muslim country is a good thing.
And none too soon. I don’t know about you, but here in north central Florida gas has jumped 40 cents a gallon in less than a month...
Some times you have to roll the dice if the wager is worth enough. we live in a world of lesser of evils.
You guys need our gas apparently, there were a lot of people in the midwest getting cold. We have lots of that. We in Alberta also need to get our gas to markets, but we keep getting blocked by outside interest groups.
While it’s great for the gas states there, there’s a lot of people having a hard time here. Thankfully I’m working, but many aren’t.
I believe it goes around any Indian claim
Bakken oil will go into it to.
That’s why Warren buffett wanted Obama to shut it down
Buffet and Soros are making big money with the Canadian oil being transported via THEIR rail companies.
I may be stretching a tad, but another reason why McC’s wife in a cabinet position was a ‘bad’ idea inasmuch as when McC doesn’t ‘like’ something PDJT is doing he can back off saying he didn’t/doesn’t want to be controversial because of is wifes ‘position’.
Same as the wacky husband taking shots at PDJT while his wife is in the inner circle....or having his VERY LIBERAL daughter & SIL in the inner circle.
In Politics, it is the appearance not the actual doing.
Same way Sessions recussing himself was the ‘proper’ thing to do since he had to have the final say on the BS Mueller was putting together BUT just think of the stink that would have been raised had he had the same ‘opinion’ as Barr presented.
Look how quick ‘they’ jumped all over Mueller and Barr for ‘agreeing’ with Mueller -
WE all know that as far as the LIBS were/are concerned, anything less than a firing squad, public hanging or the guillotine for PDJT was unacceptable.
IF PDJT didn’t realize the Sessions problem Sessions shouldn’t have accepted the job.
May not expect a BNG Prez to know all the ‘rules/etc’ but a ‘fool’ that has dedicated his life (their words, not mine) to Politics should know better.
McConnell has been talking about it for 20 months, so ..........any day now.
