Just what is the definition of an “assault rifle”? Is it ANY rifle with an “AR” as part of its nomenclature? Or just SOME rifle with a detachable magazine, that has a semi-automatic sequence of ejecting the spent cartridge, placing another round in the chamber, cocking the weapon, all in preparation of squeezing the trigger in initiation of a the sequence all over again?
The purpose of a semi-automatic weapon, be it handgun, rifle, or shotgun, is to make it simple to repeat squeezing the trigger until the sumbich falls down.
Dick’s definition of assault rifle: Anything that doesn’t look like an old, wood stocked Fudd gun.
The current definition of “assault rifle” is
“gun I want to ban”.
The real definition requires that it be capable of automatic fire but the MSM/Gun Grabbers have deliberately ignored that key detail.
