I have many family members who a regular members if the LDS church and they support Trump. I am sure if my Mom, if she was still with us, would be ticked off with Jeff Flake here in AZ. Also, she could not stand Harry Reid. I think many LDS members want a President who acts like a choir boy. Also, U have seen some who go even further and vote Democrat, believing that the Democrats care about the poor and disenfranchised. Many religous Americans fall for this so called Democrat “caring”. But we know that not to be the case, especially when they can use it too their advantage. Trump is rough around the edges for many with normal societal norms. Of course, turning around and voting for Democrats just boggles the mind.
I lived in Pocatello, ID for 8 years. There is tremendous LDS influence there. Most of the members I met were decent, conservative folks. One of their bad attributes is that several of the men are terrible horndogs. Maybe they still harbor the disease of polygamy in their hearts. I saw several marriages break up and careers get ruined because the husbands just could not resist the temptations of the flesh. Other religions exhibit this kind of behavior as well but it just seemed odd to me that a sect that placed such a high value on marriage and chastity for its younger members would have this problem.
