A pregnant and mother and her 18-month-old baby crossed the border illegally Tuesday and were quickly found by Border Patrol Agents. However, when they found her, she was experiencing abdominal pain and taken to the hospital. Her child could not go with her, so during the time she was in the hospital, agents stepped up. According to Border Patrol, the agents from the Uvalde station took care of the baby, until she was deemed fit for travel and released.
“I am proud of the agents and staff who continue to show great compassion during this humanitarian crisis on our southern border,” said Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Felix Chavez. “However, our agents are continually pulled from their enforcement duties to watch over people at hospitals, and in this case a child while her mother was receiving care.”

This is wrong. The kid should’ve been sent home to the rest of the family. Not a burden on us, not left in the US, and probably unfortunately with the current laws and political leanings, now allowed to stay.
They did the humane, reasonable thing. They should be commended, not criticized.
Should they have left the baby by the side of the road?
Maybe you’re not understanding the gravity of the situation.
Hint: the road to hell is paved with good intentions.
And where do they send the hospital bills?
Just imagine the news articles, if the agents had not taken care of the baby...

I have only contempt for a mother so self-absorbed that she would risk not only her 18 month old, but her unborn child by undertaking a trek through coyote/cartel land to further her own agenda-that is child endangerment-maybe she should be charged with that...
Your logic is why they are here, and bankrupting us. They should have taken the baby back to Mexico (or down to Tierra Del Fuego in Argentina); would’ve been cheaper in the long run. This foreign gibsmedat is already running up a bill on us...
Just imagine the news articles if my wife took our baby to the police station so she could visit the hospital...these benefits are for our permanent underclass (foreign & domestic), while the rest of us foot the bill.

But worrying about what the press and the left says has brought us to where we are today. The Republicans try to get the job done without offending or making anyone on the left angry. That is an impossibility.
A major reason why the satanic left has made progress year after year after year - they don’t care what anyone thinks, they just forge ahead. Our side should do likewise.
To your point, I suppose they had no choice in that situation. Yes, doing the humane thing is right.
But what about the humane thing to hard working Americans on the border states? How about the Americans who lost jobs to H1B’s simply because they were cheaper and satisfied ‘diversity’ requirements? How about the people murdered and property destroyed - where is the humanity in that?
I could go on but you get the point.

There are nearly a dozen hospitals smack dab across the border in Ciudad Acuna, Mexico. Five minutes. Take your pick. How many did she drive past on her way to the US?
