It’s a local station for me here in Nashville, but I did not hear it live. Mandis doesn’t seem to be the kind of host who would stage this. I don’t hear him a lot, though, because I don’t spend a lot of time in the car which is the only place I hear radio at all. Now, Phil Valentine, who’s in a different time slot at WTN - yeah, he can get creative like that.
Phil's "Snowflake" segments are the most hilarious bits since the old "Manly Man" ones heard on Carl P. Mayfield. Carl also had "Bubba Skynard", which he did himself. All good stuff.
