Really ludicrous commentary disguised as "journalism." If Barr misrepresented the contents of the report, Mueller, or one of the contributors to it, would have called him on such a grossly unethical act. After all, it says what it says and no attorney in his right mind would misrepresent that when he could be so easily caught.
What about four pages to summarize the high points of "more than" 300? No big deal; the Slimes itself does that every week in even less space when it publishes its book reviews. Indeed, that's what good writers do all the time.

It's the CliffsNotes version and it worked very well for me in high school......

300 page book, 4 page book report.
A 4 page book report on a 300 page book seems a little wordy to me.
In High School after reading a book that short I would have been expected to submit at most a 2 page report.
Outline the pertinent points of the book, explain (in your own words) the authors intent of the book, submit a very brief summary of the book, and lastly my impressions and thoughts of the subject matter.
All these things should be achievable in one to two paragraphs each, at most a 2 page report, three if you go into greater detail.

When I was in high school, I was once assigned a 4-page book report on
The Brothers Karamazov, which was about an 800 page Russian novel. Very dense and heavy.
I groaned at the length of the report and felt that I could have written a 3 page one that did just as good a job summarizing this long, boring book.
One does not have to write a lengthy summary of a long, boring original...

A report that large is going to include it’s own summary, although without redactions. Do you think the people in Congress read all those pages? Barr likely rewrote Mueller’s summary into one that removes classified information. From Friday night to Sunday, I could see how that can be done.

And by the same logic, every book report ever written by any kid ever to attend school has just been invalidated. /sarc

Barr’s summary is four pages, raising questions about this one-page NYT report.
