I have posted on dissenter and don't have a browser extension.

From the article:

"Using a simple desktop browser extension, conservatives can literally bypass all of the big tech companies trying to censor us, and have an open, free discussion. Even news sites that still have comments sections are known for heavily editing them. Twitter and YouTube have been accused of censoring comments, and manipulating their algorithms to suppress conservatives...

Just download the extension, install it on whatever browser you’re using, and voila – you’re now 100% free to comment on literally any URL online, with zero fear of censorship."

Why are they saying that?

They suggest that using their extension bypasses censorship. I have not used this extension, so maybe it has a decent search function, but there are many ways to avoid search censorship. To use Dissenter, you just paste the url you want to comment on in the Dissenter website. I don't have any browser, email, etc. function on my phone, so it's possible that some "smart phone" systems support only one browser with a kind of built in censorship. If I had such a phone I would get rid of it.

On the other hand, maybe their "extension" has ads or something that pays Gab. I don't know. I don't want any "extension" on my phone. Don't need it. I use my phone to make/receive calls and receive messages (although I don't even like messaging). I don't want my computer to look like a phone and vice-versa.

I posted to Dissenter today on This article
