As police investigate a pair of murders in a tiny New Hampshire town, residents are coming to terms with the shocking nature of the crime: a child is accused of fatally shooting a couple one cloudy Friday morning inside their rural home. The 911 call came around 7:30 a.m. on March 15. Cops arrived to the Eckert family’s farm and discovered Lizette, a 50-year-old mother of three, dead of a gunshot wound. Her husband James, 48, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He died later that evening.
Friends described the couple as healers. They were both health-conscious chiropractors and runners who left their practice in Portland, Maine, to operate a small farm in Alton, where they raised cows, pigs, rabbits and chickens.
Lizette and James, who often went by Jim, were also devoted parents to their 15-year-old daughter and adoptive sons, 11- and 13-year-old brothers, according to one friend.

Sad, some evil adults were evil children.
Most, if not all, psychopaths demonstrated similar traits as a child.
As a teen, I knew a 15 y/o girl who, in retrospect, was a psychopath and her life did not end well. I did not know the clinical aspect but my gut told me she was bad news.

But shortly after the adoption, it became clear that the children had serious medical and psychiatric problems, the couple says. The children threatened to kill them many times, the parents claim.
In a separate legal action against the agencies, the couple alleges they learned post-adoption that the children are not related and had been sexually abused.
The children, now 12 and 14, are now in state mental-health facilities.

Too many Russian children put up for adoption had mothers who drank alcohol while pregnant and ended up with fetal alcohol syndrome. I have to wonder if that was the situation here.
Declare abortion illegal. Plenty of kids for those wonderful women that want to be moms. Now we will have to feed the murderer for years.

Research on children in Romanian orphanages found that kids with any institutional rearing had a 53 percent chance of psychiatric disorders compared with 22 percent for kids raised in a home. The study, published in 2009 in the American Journal of Psychiatry, also found that children randomly assigned to move out of an orphanage into foster care had rates of anxiety and depression half those of children who stayed in the orphanage.

I wonder if trying to integrate some of these traumatized kids into society is a fruitless exercise. Maybe they need to be sheltered.

A friend of mine adopted fraternal twin boys and then a girl from the same orphanage in Russia, 2 yrs apart.
The girl has been in a psychiatric facility for almost the entire time in the US- she tried to fondle my friend’s husband’s friends when she was 10 and was very sexually suggestive to men. She then moved to torturing their dog and telling them she was going to kill my friend and her husband. She also faked loving my friend and once adoption was final, that she hated her from the moment she saw her but faked it so she could come to America and get a ‘better mom’.
I am exhausted just typing this but my friend had to go through it and still blocks all info as the girl was set to be released at some point.
Prayers to the family...the 11 year old was from Russia? Why didn’t they ADOPT from USA? They could have: AdoptUSKids.org.
Probably their age... we have wonderful friends and parents who were denied due to age, they were in their late forties.
