French President Emmanuel Macron said Saturday that the fall of the so-called "caliphate" run by Islamic State (ISIS) in Syria has removed a source of potential terror attacks against France.
"A significant threat to our country" has been "eliminated", Macron said on Twitter, adding that "the step taken today is immense."
"But the threat remains and the fight against terrorist groups must continue," he added.
France has suffered a wave of jihadist-inspired terror attacks that have killed 250 people since 2015, when gunmen massacred 12 people at the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo in Paris.
The next day a man took hostages at a Jewish supermarket on the edge of Paris, killing four before being shot and killed by police.
"If you attack the caliphate, we will attack you," the attacker, Amedy Coulibaly, said in a posthumous video.
Macron's comments came as Prime Minister Edouard Philippe and other officials gathered in Trebes, southern France, to mark the first anniversary of a shooting spree by a man claiming allegiance to the Islamic State.

Martel is buried in the Basilica Cathedral of Saint Denis, the same church that was vandalized recently. So it looks like the peaceful vandals might have chosen that particular church because of Martel.
I’ve read articles about this vandalism. But I saw nothing that mentioned Martel’s connection to that church, not until you pointed it out.

Macron is too stupid to realize that the threat to France comes from within. When you don’t die soon enough after committing the cultural suicide of open alien immigration, the newcomers get impatient and act accordingly.

As Stephen Coughlin points out (see Red Pill Briefing): we don’t need to prove or disprove what is the real Islam, we should only need to show what their books that they sell in their bookstores for their own reference and use teach them.
These are the books (Koran included) that can make supposedly peaceful Muslims into terrorists by the doctrines they teach. They are not fringe works, but the most reputable. This is why the so-called “moderate” Muslims who’ve been taught from such books may find difficulty turning against the true believers. With these books the militants have the better arguments.
...... Actually .... What was defeating in Syria were ground forces that swore allegiance to ISIS ..... The terror cells will still exist around the world. ISIS sponsored attacks are basically done on a consignment basis. With the ground troops being defeated I would expect an escalation in Terror attacks to signal to the world that they are still a force to be reckoned with.

As ISIS started getting hammered in the Mideast, and the torture, murder and rape games dried up, many of the degenerate psychopaths that joined ISIS deserted and wandered back home.
In Europe, the US, and other places around the world.
Anywhere there’s a Muslim enclave, there’s former ISIS psychopaths living in comfort without a care in the world just waiting for the next outfit to set up a playfield for them to get their torture, murder and rape fix. Or, get together with their local buddies and just home brew it.

My Stupid Scale is based on the fact that merely being ignorant and dumb prevent people from being a danger to any but themselves or those nearby: that it takes maleducation and intellect to entertain right proper Stupid that can truly threaten huge numbers of people just for being Stupid.

A Class 6 Stupid threatens a small community of individuals,
A Class 7 Stupid a province, multiple communities, or even a small country.
A Class 8 Stupid threatens whole cultures, big nations, civilizations, the species or even planets ... things like Cultural Marxism (designed to make people incapable of sustaining a civilization) are responsible for our world having been visited with such profound Stupidity.
A Class 9 Stupid would threaten a proverbial Federation of Planets with doom.
A Class 10 Stupid ... all life, everywhere ... maybe even existence itself.
And yes, I do consider the current state of the Left to have essentially maxed out on Stupid as humanity simply lacks the wherewithal to be substantively more Stupid than the Left has already become. We just don’t have the power for their Stupid to affect other worlds. All they can do is wallow around in the Stupid they’ve already reached by finding new madnesses to flavor it with.

ISIS is not a bunch of psychopaths,they are devout Muslims. To say otherwise is to ignore the Koran,1400 yrs of history and God’s word. Political correctness is a suicide pact.

My cynicism is wondering if they really lost. What if the goal was to create enough chaos so “refugees” could flood into the west. If I was looking for a way to infiltrate the west, I might consider this.
It could be that when they saw what was happening, they got a bright idea and shifted their plans.
