>>>ThinkProgress released a report saying Chick-fil-A donated $1.8 million to groups that discriminate against the LGBTQ community<<<

Gee, what groups would those be, DiscriminateagainstLGBTQ.com and WehateLGBTQ.com?

Probably more like the GOP and some Religious Charities.

Well now folks who refuse to serve faggots can point to this and say they refused to let an ENTIRE RESTAURANT open.

Stay and keep TX conservative.

This is the problem.

Don’t move. Fight.

Everyone moves, and allows the Left to change the dynamics.

You left CA, look what happened.

You left NJ. Look what happened. You left IL, look what happened.

Beyond the free speech implications, I think it’s important that people realize just how bogus the underlying accusation actually is.

The past few days have seen reports in the media accusing Chick-fil-A’s foundation of donating $1.8 million to anti-gay groups in 2017. Based on the headlines, one might think that these groups were actively working against “gay rights” in at least some form. But that’s not the case.

These are the three groups:

~$1.7 million to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes

$150,000 to the Salvation Army

$6,000 to the Paul Anderson Youth Home

The Westboro Baptist Church these groups are not. The FCA’s offense, for example, is that it requires members of its ministry (not even the student athlete leaders) to sign a sexual purity pledge that includes same-sex conduct among other things. In other words, it’s a nothingburger.

What this is really about is the fact that Chick-fil-A is a successful business that lives its Christian values (and I don’t mean anything to do with gays, because Chick-fil-A both serves and hires gays). It’s closed on Sundays, doesn’t participate in offensive advertising, maintains a clean image, and encourages a positive, healthy work environment. The Left sees Christianity as an obstacle to the state, so anything that represents it in a positive light must be destroyed. In this case, the use of the anti-gay label is just a way of convincing the uninformed leftist masses (that will never look deeply into it themselves) why it’s OK for its politicians to try and destroy such a pleasant, tasty place.

Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina are on it’s way as well

Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Arkansas are too “white” for the Democrats to contest in the future.

Life long native Texan.

This is not only a fight against conservatives and Christians...but a hard progressive attempt at turning this state.

We have so much growth and push for bringing companies in that Progressive are taking advantage of low taxes. A hard push to move in progressives—Austin, San Antonio, Houston, and Dallas- Ft. Worth.

San Antonio has been over-whelmed with a progressive policy and BS of
the illegal immigration rhetoric. We have had massive arrests due to illegal human trafficking in 18 wheelers transporting and deaths. Citizens ignore it.

Do some research on the Castillo brothers and their mother’s tie to LaRanza. Texans need to open their eyes.

The Robert Francis O’Rouke campaign, I hope will shake them. I had two old hippies knock on my door during the senate campaign and I gave them a “chewing”.

I hate this is happening.

Thankfully, I live well outside the city limits of San Antonio; however, we will feel the effect of their policies.

Another reason, for many dogs, and belief in the 2nd Ammendment.

We locals call it Soviet Antonio with good reason. Be sure and choose a more rural area outside of it. Do your research.

I went through Terminal A back in November and looked for a place to eat. There was nothing much appealing and most were local brands, not national brands.

Did Chik Fil A even *want* to be there? Personally, I’d want to slot a restaurant that was open all seven days of the week, not six.

Chik Fil A will survive just fine without the City of San Antonio booking them at the airport. They should be happy to have their bid rejected.

San Antonio is the city of about 1000 restaurants and about 10 good cooks. I can’t tell you how many restaurants I’ve walked into that were disappointing. It’s a victory to find one that’s average.

Chick-fil-A has a tremendous customer attraction. I bet that their restaurant in the airport would have generated tremendous customer numbers. Maybe they would have had customers equal to all the other restaurants combined.

This illustrates the impact the politically correct Identity Politics has on commerce.

So in the name of inclusion and equal rights the Christian business that serves all who order come to the business is banned.

That is purely evil, illegal and unamerican.

But the laws against discrimination based on creed will not be enforced on the actual bigots.

I lived in Austin '80-'82. Loved everything about it except for the crazy liberals.

I’d take a sip of that Frosted Key Lime drink, add some rum, & enjoy it a whole lot more.

Got to get to Chick Fil-A more often. Never knew that biting into delicious fast food means making a political statement.

Well, actually I did.

;^)

That’s illegal and unconstitutional on first amendment grounds.

GOVERNMENT MAY NOT CENSOR OR ESTABLISH A RELIGION and they have done so here.

Agree. The only restaurants we try are independent owners. Most restaurants in San Antonio are chains. Uggh.🤢
