The Republic is still intact?
I suppose if we discount kalifornia, orygone, wash state, colorado...
If it isn't gone, it sure has gotten smaller.
Roy Blunt Missouri
Jerry Moran Kansas
Disgraces both of them.
It’s past time that the actions of these traitors have consequences.
and what you describe in today’s county Republican Party is what is needed to Make America Great Again. I am so pleased to read your post.
Good! National Security is one of the few things the Federal Govt is actually supposed to act upon.
The entire GOP can GFI.
Zero use, need or want for any of them.
Truth be told the Republic ceased to exist on Usurpation Day, January 20, 2009
Heard this on the radio yesterday.
Sweet.
Growing up in the 50s, I remember the Republic. Not all Americans have any significant frame of reference. They don’t miss what they never had, and they’ve not had a Republic for .......... decades.
This situation has been building for a long time. I understand the arguments being made by eGOP RINOs. Unfortunately, they ring hollow.
The specific circumstances leading up to this situation - the physical swarming of the border to overwhelm it and the valiant, dedicated LEOs trying to defend it - can be traced directly back to Congressional inaction and ill-will. While we might be tempted to focus exclusively on the Democrats - and they deserve that attention - the past behavior of the eGOP/RINOs should be noted as well. Specifically, their non-support of this President generally and in the repeated failure of Congress when under GOP control to take any action to seriously address deficiencies in existing immigration law and its interpretation/implementation. Failure to exercise the “nuclear option” in the Senate is just a convenient excuse to absolve themselves of not doing the difficult work of their jobs as legislators.
I’d be more inclined to support their vote if each had delivered a truly paint-blistering speech in the well of the Senate prior to the vote that:
1. Unequivocately denounced their legislative inaction,
2. Stated that this vote to uphold the “power of the purse”/defend the co-equality of branches of government/forestall future potential Presidential power to abuse was a one time event, and
3. It would not be repeated when the override vote came up later on.

Here you go something more about the crook..
Good! Start treating these guys like the traitors they are!
Wouldn’t it be great if GOPe meant GOP-extinct?
