Shades of a certain Stalinist true believer, that committed suicide after Khrushchev’s “secret speech” about Stalin’s crimes was revealed to the world...the note he left read approximately “I believed I was guarding a temple—and discovered instead it was a latrine.”
No one here knows why he committed suicide, but some will tell you why he did anyway. Or that he was murdered, though they have no evidence of that.

Thanks for this post MAGAthon,. It makes sense that Krueger was looking for a way to establish a direct link between climate and population shift into the USA.
Maybe Krueger fabricated data or something and that was about to come out, or somebody wanted to stop it from coming out?

At the bottom of the article:
“Two months ago Krueger and another well-known economist, Harvard’s Lawrence Katz, walked back a 2016 paper on the gig economy that showed an increase in gig economy workers between 2005 and 2015. Subsequent research by the Bureau of Labor Statistics reached the opposite conclusion, and the economists backed down.”
That is not good for a tenured professor’s reputation.
Obama credited Krueger with helping revive the U.S. economy after the devastating 2008 financial crisis....Oh yeah, I remember that economic "revival".
That was the one with all the shovel ready jobs for everyone.
That's the "revival" that didn't really take off until after Trump was elected.
Don't take my word for it, just ask Obama.
It's a disease a lot of people get after being close to the Clintons, especially Hillary.
