Eh,,,though he was under no obligation to do so, he could have been a tad nicer about it.
Sounds like an over the top nut case...a simple no and some explanation would have been sufficient.

Actually, I like his response. Sometimes these types that seem to think they have jurisdiction for their own country’s laws inside of our country ... just need something ‘radical’ (verbally) to wake them up.

Facebook and twitter both have been issuing warnings to people for violating Pakistan’s laws regarding speaking out against Islam.

Should we be polite about that too?

Facebook and twitter play this game all the time.

He could have, but it would have been an inappropriate response to the request of a tyrant. He gave the most true-blue American response one could give.

Why should he be nice about it?

That prick in NZ is trying to force the laws in NZ on an American Citizen that is not under his jurisdiction....

That police chief needs to learn that he can’t dictate what people do in other countries.....especially online

This is the Internet.....welcome to the thunderdome.

Under different circumstances I would agree with you, but...

The serious indifference and misunderstanding of our civil rights by a foreign nation's LEO demands a swift and severe response. Profanity, as part of the art of communication, can be quite effective.

Why? They deserve that and more. The place is run by anti-American, anti-western communist nutjobs, part of the "Five Eyes" signal intelligence that passed the crooked Russian dossier around like a party favor, banned our Navy from porting there for 30 years since we would not share sensitive technical data about our ships (which they probably would have sold to someone, like the ChiComs), have aligned with the Palestinians at the UN (6 of which were killed the other day) and conspired with the outgoing lame duck Obama administration to damage Israel and attempt to plop a Middle East diplomacy mess into the lap of incoming president-elect Trump. They can E.S.A.D. and as they say in the UK, "sod off".

:: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.[1] ::

You must be confused. I don’t see the word “snowflake” in the 1st Amendment

Sometimes “F*** OFF!!!” is all the explanation they deserve.
