That is a very important observation. Not only does the left immediately take away the rights of law abiding citizens, but they trumpet that "white nationalists" and entire groups of people are responsible for the violence all over the world. Thus somehow the political statements of Americans caused violence in New Zealand by a nutcase, but the teachings of radical Islam, and the mosques of Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and dozens of other nations have nothing to do with the violence conducted on a daily basis by their followers in Africa, India, Europe, and the Middle East.
Like another gun control law would have prevented the massacre.
Liberals believe if we have enough laws people will be deterred from committing mass murder.
Someone who wants to do it won’t allow any law to stand in his way. That’s exactly the point.
Disarming people won’t prevent future carnage. As if the real issue is the killer’s guns instead of human nature.

When the next Pacific War happens, and China is threatening both New Zealand and Australia, they can go defend themselves.
