Disagree with the bill as written.

Set a cap on the tax credit, and let the person decide what is the proper firearm for them to own.

Otherwise all this is is government nepotism for ar-15 makers, when his whole point of the bill is really symbolic. Don’t tell people what gun style they must buy.

In reality I dont think govt should force anyone to buy any product, or dissuade them either. Hypothetically, what if government demanded people buy health insurance? Oh wait,...

Yeah, I agree,as a civil liberties exercise.
I’d not appreciate being told I have to buy an AR-15 Why not a Mini-14 or an AK or whatever.

But if he really means for a militia, then it makes sense due to parts interchangeability.

I like the sentiment, but this really does seem like a publicity stunt

Should have just followed the Kennesaw GA law example. They are both unenforceable but they make a point and statistically, it has been shown to reduce crime.
