andace Owens, right-wing commentator and Kanye West influencer, was on the defensive Thursday evening after the suspect in the mass killing of 49 people at two New Zealand mosques publicly named her as his biggest influence in a lengthy manifesto.
In several tweets — issued as bodies were still being counted — Owens jeered at critics whom she said were attempting to pin responsibility for the massacre on her.
“LOL! ???? FACT: I’ve never created any content espousing my views on the 2nd Amendment or Islam,” Owens said in response to one now deleted tweet. “The Left pretending I inspired a mosque massacre in…New Zealand because I believe black America can do it without government hand outs is the reachiest reach of all reaches!! LOL!”
“HAHA OMG you racist Leftists are taking your racism and crazy to a whole new level hahah. Black people don’t have to be Democrats” now means…mosque shootings in New Zealand?” she continued. “This clearly won’t stick but damn if I won’t grow #BLEXIT highlighting your sheer desperation. ????????”

That is NOT the entire tweet in context..she was laughing at the moron who was blaming her for the shooting. The shooter’s mention of Candace Owens in his manifesto is the most bizarre aspect of a bizarre screed. Candace Owens? The only explanation I can think of is that he views black conservatives like Owens as a possible source of racial reconciliation, and thus tries to implicate her - and therefore discredit her and like-minded blacks - in his horrific acts.
He wanted to create a war, so he picked ANYONE he could find on google..yeah he knows Candace Owens my ass he does..and that scum bag is a Communist, so waiting for the commies in the media to look in the mirror and blame themselves
A very curious non sequitur, to be sure. A person who had his OWN issues with Muslims, trying to claim “influence” by the Team Trump and its closest adherents in the United States, somehow is “radicalized” and goes all medieval on Muslims in a far reach of the world, really nowhere near the United States.
The linkages that are attempted, sometimes within moments of the event, that supposedly tie the world-wide phenomena of hatred and resistance to the spread and pernicious effects of Islam, to Team Trump ONLY, and to no other cause whatsoever, re preposterous in the extreme and feed from a never-Trumper emotion that has no place among rational people.
But then, the world, for the most part, is not a rational place.

I get where she’s coming from, and, of course it’s absurd to tie her to this. However, the optics using of Lol, omg, haha in the context of this incident aren’t the best. No one is “laughing out loud.” She should have shown more restraint & sobriety in her response.
