The press and MSM is focusing on “new” as in nothing existed prior. What they don’t want you to look at is where marginal and damaged fences have been replaced with WALLS.
I am of the opinion that if you replace a section that only has 3 strands of barbed wire or maybe a flimsy corrugated pannel with a wall, it is a new wall.

One of the biggest political differences between obama and Trump is Trump wants to do things so the next leftist President can't simply undo it unilaterally like Trump did to obama's crap policies. Going through congress whenever possible, even when unpleasant, is a far more permanent solution. It's not Trump's fault we have a terrible congress. Spineless on the right and obstructionists on the left.
