Australian prime minister Scott Morrison said one of the suspects was an Australian-born citizen and called it a “rightwing extremist attack”.

Morrison is just getting ahead of the inevitable media frenzy that tries to link this terrible event to ordinary conservatives. His coalition is behind in the polls. The junior member of the coalition government, the Nationals is trying to put out fires in its party led by former deputy PM Barnaby Joyce ( who incidentally had to resign from parliament at one stage due to being ruled ineligible under the constitution to hold have a seat in federal Parliament due to holding dual New Zealand citizenship). So Morrison is between a rock and a hard place. Damned if he does. Damned if he doesn’t
The guy’s manifesto had 90% leftwing class steuggle content and 10% nearly cosmetic demands of “racial independence”.
This was a statist whose manifesto was nearly that of antifa’s.
