CNN has been a bad joke for over a decade. If they didn’t have a monopoly contract on airport TV screens, they would have died long ago.

LOL I think those tv screens are pretty much ignored these days.
On a recent personal sampling at airports in Indiana and Florida, I estimate 95% of the peeps are looking at cell phones or tablets.

We aren’t hearing much about it, but eyewitnesses to this crash (people living under an airport flight path so quite used to seeing aircraft in normal circumstances) said they thought the plane was trailing debris as if a luggage compartment had been breached. This would not be an obvious sign of the control issues that are said to link this to the earlier crash in Indonesia. It may turn out to be an entirely different issue like terrorism (timed explosion) or faulty operations related to the loading and securing of baggage.

I would be very curious to know what fraction of their small audience is the captive audience at airports and other public places.
