[Stacey] Abrams pans ‘short-sighted’ biz response to Ga. abortion bill

Corporate powers and business groups explode in outrage each time a “religious liberty” measure surfaces in Georgia. Stacey Abrams wants to know why a bill that would outlaw most abortions isn’t triggering the same reaction.

The Democrat on Tuesday called on the powerful coalition to rally against House Bill 481, which would ban most abortions as soon as doctors can detect a heartbeat – as early as six weeks.

“It’s very short-sighted for the business community not to be engaged right now,” said Abrams. “Because once this bill is signed into law, that becomes the reputation of Georgia.”

Our homegrown 2020 presidential candidate is calling on mega-corporations to push abortion as vigorously as they promote sodomy. She'll probably get her wish.

Because the people she is addressing do care. She is likely to get corporate support for her call to promote abortion in Georgia. Already troops of feminists are massing at the GA capitol, and Stacey will be their leader.

“Because once this bill is signed into law, that becomes the reputation of Georgia.”

You know, Stacey, if you consider Georgia to have a bad or backward reputation, a large assortment of moving companies can haul you and all your junk to another state pretty quickly. That’s probably the best option for you. Don’t forget to pay off your state tax bills and liens before you go, though.

I would think Georgia would be proud to have the reputation as a state that does not condone baby killing.

Agreed. About the only thing people in Georgia want to kill is Alabama's football team. :)

Georgia has Atlanta hung around its neck like a millstone, unfortunately.
