“She’s dead, Jim”
The original Brexit referendum itself generated doom and gloom hysteria about market and economic collapses that never occurred. Will be the same with a hard Brexit.
Parliament again rejects surrender agreement.
Hard Brexit is less than 3 weeks away now.
Most probable outcome.
What Brussels sees is the UK wants a privileged status as part of the price for remaining in the EU.
It will reject such a bid and it will reject extension of Art 50 negotiations until the Brits make up their mind on what they want.
They want a painless Brexit. Aint gonna happen.
The EU needs Brexit to fail, but it can’t be perceived as needing it. It will accept the UK back in a heartbeat while leveraging fear and propoganda stirred up by the likes of Tony Blair.
What an embarrassing mess. Half the country wants to act like they were militarily conquered by frickin’ Belgium.
Same MO as the Frauds handlers here whenever things didnt go their gods way.
Same handlers.
All May needs to do is send an Art 49 letter to Brussels undoing the Brexit process. No further action is needed to stay in.
Then the once great British empire will become a colony of the EU.
Churchill will roll over in his grave if it happens.
It’s hard Brexit or no Brexit—which *should* be an easy choice.
If hard Brexit happens, watch for other unhappy EU members to head for the door.
So a united Ireland may come about not due to the IRA but because the orangeman are pissed at the Brits..strange days indeed....
Tomorrow the UK is expected to vote against Brexit.
But still talk about honoring the Brexit vote.
Craaaazzzzyy.
I expect Brussels to summarily reject Londons Request for an Art 50 extension.
No more negotiations. The UK can stay or exit.
Theyll vote against a hard Brexit but that means certain rejection of further Art 50 negotiations by the EU.
At the point, its anyones guess what happens by March 29.
UK should have been preparing for HARD BREXIT from day one...
Brussels has ZERO motivation to negotiate in good faith, its in their own best interest to make sure UK is punished severely for leaving the EU in order to prevent further defections...
The fact that British Leadership did not simply plan from the get go for a hard brexit is MIND BOGGLINGLY STUPID!
Brussels has ZERO motivation or reason to make Britain’s exit anything but extremely painful.
The UK like Hamlet, cant make up its mind.
Europe is getting fed up. Brexit is proving a lot harder to complete than people expected.
The worst thing for the EU would be a hard exit that works OK. The EU would fall apart in a couple years if that happens. The EU is counting on May & Pals cancelling Brexit, which seems the most likely outcome now.
I don’t get it. From what I understand of the parliamentary system May should be roadkill by now.
“If they go there will be trouble, and if they stay it will be double.”
So come on and let them know, should they cool it or should they blow?
