Faced with condemning freshman U.S. Rep.

Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, a Muslim Somali American, for her anti-Semitic remarks last week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi caved under pressure from a group of freshmen members and went bland.

Instead of punishing Omar, Pelosi rewarded her. She also emboldened her by removing her name from the stand alone, specific resolution condemning her for her hateful anti-Semitic remarks in a resolution so watered down to be rendered meaningless

Pelosi is clearly in the early stages of Alzeimers. The Democrats will not want to go into the 2020 election with her as Speaker. There will be a change but it will be engineered by the donors and senior Democrats, not the screwy newcomers.

Pelosi won Speakership by only a handful of votes, and that handful included a number of freshman congressmen who had publicly vowed to never vote for her. Her grasp on power is severely limited. Yeah, it's obvious that the new Islamic/Socialist members of Congress - AOC, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib - are far stronger opponents of Pelosi as a majority leader than simpering idiots like Paul Ryan on the GOP side ever were when Pelosi was minority leader.

Like many Democrats Moulton ran as relatively moderate candidate, but now he votes as a fairly conventional liberal, not as far to the left as some, but pretty much in line with the party. By some reckonings his voting record is similar to Pelosi’s or Adam Schiff’s.

No, and for the following reasons.

1) Any Democrat who is really disturbed by the direction of the party left years ago. Upon his recent passing pollster Pat Caddell was called The Last Honest Democrat, and it's not far from the truth. Anyone who still votes for them is obviously okay with at least passively acquiescing to what they are doing.

2)Democrat voters have been conditioned through years of relentless propaganda to believe that Republicans are EEEEEEVIL. So they may privately think that AOC is a clown and her agenda is somewhere between impractical and dangerous. But they ain't voting for an EEEEEEEVIL Republican.

3)At the end of the day Free Sh** Heals All Wounds. For example I don't believe that anywhere near a majority of Democrats is onboard with infanticide. And voters keep telling pollsters that abortion is an important issue. But they sure don't vote that way. At the end of the day they'll ignore it and cast their vote based on whoever keeps the Free Sh** flowing in their direction. (I have a relative who is a retired public school teacher who frustrated us all because even though he held conservative views, he voted Democrat with his union 100% of the time to keep the money and benefits flowing)

4) The electorate really IS trending more radical. Numbers showing growing support for socialism are real. You are going to start seeing this in very stark terms over the next several years as a few more of us pass on while new, young radical voters sign-up to take our place.

Even traditional libs should know to be thinking about the future leadership as it’s not an ideological issue.
