New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Monday that NYC's public schools will be going vegetarian one day per week in order to save the Earth. Won't that *increase* the number of cows turning grass into methane?

So, public schools in NYC can only afford to serve meat four times a week. Got it. Starting to smell like Venezuela.

Isn’t it “meatless Tuesday”?? I remember an old Looney Tunes bit with a flea singing “no more meatless Tuesdays” when he found a nice juicy doggie (Porky Pig’s dog?) to camp out on.

is meatless Mondays really to save the earth or is it to save the city cash at a time they’re facing bankruptcy for having so many illegals drawing services in an overburdened city experiencing tax flight? (750K Pew Research 2012)

Local New York media reports that the "Meatless Mondays" pilot program, which brought vegetarian meals to around 15 Brooklyn schools, will expand city-wide for the 2019-2020 school year, and "all schools will serve vegetarian menus on Mondays" to the city's 1.1 million students. So let me get this straight. You're going to feed 1.1 million kids brussel sprouts, cabbage and various types of beans, in an effort to reduce flatulence in cows? SMH...

Look for Brown-bag Mondays, unless they ban BYOM from home.

I’m sure this has nothing to do with the looming NYC bankruptcy.

War time rations for the people of New York and it’s five boroughs. This is now a throwback to WWI and WWII.
