Buddy, if 80% of the US was without power for 4 days it would be utter chaos.

The Venezuelans are doing as well as they are, because they have come to this point rather gradually, over the last 20-50 years.

Actually more like the last 20 to 25 years. When you think about it a country as rich and plentiful as Venezuela went down pretty fast and losing the electricity was the final nail.

If the damage to any of the turbines is extensive then I don't see them getting that back up and running without a great deal of help from the U.S. or someone with the civil engineering know how to fix it and that would take months or longer.
