OK, I’ve been travelling all day via aircraft and missed today’s thread.

On Manafort, and why I would give him a COMPLETE pass and pardon.

1. Obama misued his authority to get Hillary Clinton out of criminal danger when ANYONE who had disobeyed classification laws like SHE DID would absolutely be in jail.

2. Because of all the illegalities committed by Obama and various high ranking justice, IRS, FBI and Intelligence people, they decided a good offense was the best defense and went after the Trump campaign on the false collusion thing.

2. If it wasn’t for the despicable, evil Hillary campaign, no false accusations would have been made against Trump.

3. Manafort was not charged with any irregularities when most of them were known several years ago.

4. Manafort became the victim of the Get Trump Deep State/Obama-Clinton Operation. He was acceptable and collateral damage for them.

5. If Trump had lost, Manafort would be facing no arrest, no convictions, no fines, no jail.

Is there a single tax fraud case that does not involve some sort of other violation? Probably not. From the link I posted, mortgage (loan) fraud gets 20 months on average. For failure to report a foreign bank account I have seen cases with up to a year in jail. The amounts still don’t add up to 19 years. Manafort was certainly not a blameless cherub, but his prosecution and recommended sentence is clearly politically motivated.

So where did 19 months come from? It was from sentencing guidelines.

3. Manafort was not charged with any irregularities when most of them were known several years ago.

Using that logic, Hillary, Obama, Holder, Jarrett and others should be excused as their "crimes" have been known for several years. Shouldn't even be a part of the discussion any more and off the table.

No. Just no.

There is a WORLD of difference.

The MAJOR difference?

Not one of them has suffered a single iota of justice and probably never will.

Face it, the American jurisprudence and justice system has FAILED, and there are at least two different Justice systems.

One is lenient, almost non-existing, and cannot find “intent “ so one can never be brought up on charges that “no reasonable prosecutor would indict”.

The other justice system is for you and me, Donald Trump, any and all of his associates, workers, hired help, friends, and Christians, conservatives, lovers of America and her Constitution. THAT justice system is by the BOOK. As in throw the book at them.

I would pardon Manafort, Flynn, Papadopoulos and Stone in a NEW YORK MINUTE.

And I start a campaign loudly and publically, about the treasonous rats in our--or formally our, justice system.

To quote several African-American preachers:
**No justice, no peace!**

might be worthwhile to support her in the Senate and help the DOJ follow through on this. These social media companies are really evil and will eventually ruin the american political landscape and pave the way to a permanent socialism.

Manafort wouldn’t have suffered a single iota of justice had he not been charged with these crimes. Actually Hillary has. Whitewater was investigated. And Hillary has been threw a number of congressional hearings. I’m not saying they weren’t well deserved. But you see what happens when you start playing justice favorites. You quickly lose the rule of law to partisan purposes.

Years? Tax evasion sentences are below guidelines by an average of 50%. So with the guidelines and common practice he should have had a 10 year sentence at most. But more like there would not be consecutive sentences for the other crimes.

You can look all this stuff up.

So half, as you pointed out, would be between 10 and 12. (19 and 24). I have no problem with judges having discretion. Manafort needs to thank his lucky stars he got more than the benefit of the doubt from the judge.

I wonder what kind words the judge would have had for Whitey Bulger had he been assigned that case. :)

Sorry to hurt your sensibilities about how the American Justice System USED to be...

However, that boat sailed several years ago.

All we are is the resistance.

You can go along to get along, but I am an Oath Keeper. I am opposed to all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC, according to my oath that I've taken 6 times.

I will pull the rug out from under the impostors every chance I get, and not considering it paying favorites. As I said, that ship is no longer in port for US. We are at war, but it isn't symmetric nor are many of us fighting back. The first thing in the rules of engagement to win, is to WIN, not fight fair and keep losing our country.

Del, I am really truly pissed about this, and see only futility trying to play by the rules. We're losing do to this!

Trump is in it to WIN, and hits back. I'll overlook anything to keep the country I love and fought for from swirling down the bowl.

How about you?

fine. We claim to love the rule of law when it favors us and play hit back and win at all costs when it doesn't. We get closer to being like AOC everday.

Look, I understand in many ways. But at the same time, look at some of Manafort's clients. If that doesn't cause you some concern as far as your oath goes, then something came loose.

Excellent take about Manafort. What he did technically was illegal. But, how manly others on both sides of the ailse have done the same? Too many to prosecute I would venture.
