U.S. asylum agents found he did not have a credible fear of being returned to his native Sri Lanka, where he is a member of the Tamil ethnic minority, according to the opinion. He said that in 2104 Sri Lankan government intelligence officers kidnapped him, beat him and threatened to kill him for his political activities.
An immigration judge upheld the credible fear finding, and in 2018, Thuraissigiam sued in federal court, alleging the process violated his constitutional rights.

Maybe we should all declare ourselves illegal immigrants? We would then have immunity from any crimes we commit. We would be given free housing, medical etc.
I am declaring myself an illegal immigrant from Hawaii cause they won’t let me own a weapon there. If they do decide to deport me they will have to pay the plane fare and I can apply for the $78,000 in benefits they give illegals.
It is time for Trump to tell the 9th Circus to just try to enforce their writ on immigration rules, forcing that court to demand an immediate hearing of the case by the Supreme Court, if they want to get their writ enforced. Which, I imagine they will lose at SCOTUS.
So why their treasonous ruling now? Intentional buying of more time - as the months tic by as Trump is forced to go through the appeals process to get their writ removed; time for creating more court mandated “catch and release” illegals, illegals who never come back for their court dates.
Trump should say to the 9th Circus - “Basta. Just TRY to enforce your ruling. I am not going to follow it. YOU, not I, can appeal the case to a higher court.”
