For decades, the consulate functioned as a de facto embassy to the Palestinians. Now, that outreach will be handled by a Palestinian affairs unit, under the command of the embassy.
The money line. The palis refused to use the same building as the Jews and previous Administrations have played along. President Trump aint.
Good.

About time — for 50 years we’ve had a consulate in East Jerusalem which did not come under the US embassy in Tel Aviv.
Which made for a lot of diplomatic and bureaucratic muddle.
What a mish-mash...
For decades, the consulate functioned as a de facto embassy to the Palestinians.
And, there in lies the problem. Decades? 20, 30, 40, 50,
offering services to muslim killers.
Within my limited understanding of the situation, this certainly seems like a step in the right direction. Might have been done a little differently if the “Palestinians” had actually ever indicated a preference for a real peace.
