“There is no knight coming to save the party”
You mean they ran out of knights of the KKK to save them?

They should stick to running Stalinists like AOC. Remain nice and pure.

Being anti-American doesn’t sell well in the heartland.

Nothing that importing a few hundred thousand Somalians and MS-13 gang members won’t fix.

I’m in Arizona. Take some of our illegals. They just stole a senate seat here.

If you’re old enough for them to have been around before FDR they might have been worth a teeny tiny bit.

This is not my Great & Grandfathers Democratic Party.
AOC would be denouncing Harry Truman five or six times per day.

My dad never votes for a democrat now but still considers himself a Truman democrat. He voted for Ike Skelton for the House until 0bamacare passed, as long as the dims main issues are race, deviant sex, and killing babies, he won't be voting for them.

I remember when MO was a quintessential purple state. Glad it has joined regular America.
Unfortunately, it has been far outnumbered by states moving in the opposite direction (eg. VA, CO, NM, NH) toward insanity.

Missouri won its way back from the edge with e-verify and a requirement to prove citizenship to get a driver's license and to vote. Matt Blunt cleaned up the voter rolls, although I suspect there is still a lot of illegal voting in the cities.
Dems won back territory in 2018 with initiatives to legalize “medical” marijuana and a deferred $15 minimum wage. Look for them to repeat that crap next go-round.

Skelton lost in the 2010 wave year because of Obamacare.
Healthcare in 2010 destroyed the Democrats in a sense.

Looks like Missouri will not be electing a dead Governor again. All that is left of the Truman Democrat Party is St. Louis and Kansas City, corrupt, decaying city core and Columbia, an ACO paradise. Every else in the Show Me state, including the suburbs of those cities are solid red and an era is over.

Mel Carnahan’s children can win Missouri. Russ Carnahan can win in right circumstances for Democrats.
