If I were Bezos, I would have chosen Binghamton NY. It has rail, highway, and airport and is economically depressed. They would give a huge deal and probably treat him like a living god.

The Binghamton mayor and city council folks would have had a heart attack each. You could have set the average salary at $45k each though, and made tons of money for local community. Then the first snowfall would have occurred, and half the Google-force would have evaporated.

1. How many locals in the Binghamton area could fill the highly skilled jobs Amazon would bring?

2. Amazon competes with companies like Google and Microsoft for talent. How many people in that industry do you think would be willing to relocate to Binghamton from places like Seattle and Silicon Valley?
