of course kim is lying. i felt it’d be better to say nothing to the public and keep the ‘take him at his word’ between both of them

You don't always say exactly what's on your mind. You save it.

******

Tom Hagen: When I meet with Tattaglia's men, should I insist all their drug middlemen have clean records?

Don Corleone: Mention it, don't insist. But Barzini will know that without being told.

Tom Hagen: You mean Tattaglia...

Don Corleone: Tattaglia is a pimp. He never could have outfought Santino. But I didn't know until this day that it was Barzini all along.

We don’t know what happened. It’s very likely that Kim didn’t know anything about that guy until he got into the news. We sure have a lot of “experts” who talk about North Korea like they are comic book villains.

Maybe they are. But, we don’t KNOW what happened to Otto.

I believe what Trump said was right. I believe Kim is treading on thin ice. Remember on the day Kim took over many Generals were oppose to him because he was immature and did not have the balls like his brutal daddy or grandfather. Do yo think because his daddy kicked the bucket that his daddy men were going to resign from the military?......NO! They are still there. Kim know they would love to over throw him but they can’t because a new generation of soldiers are on his side.

As for Otto I believe he was taken away by soldiers who were ordered by Kim’s dad men. I believe he did not know until the last.

I believe Kim is not like his brutal father nor grandfather. I guess we shall see. I suspect Trump also has the same ideal like me.

Is he like his brutal uncle, whom he had executed? Also Kim has reported had people executed by anti-aircraft gun, mortar, and flamethrower.

Un may have not had direct involvement, but the buck still stops at the top.

Can it be possible that “Dear” uncle was tempting to over throw him? We don’t know. Like I said will wait this out and see.

Title is fundamentally wrong. The DonaldTM did not say Kim wasn't to blame. He said he took Kim at his word that he was unaware. BIG difference and quite diplomatic when dealing with a tyrant.

If Little Kim says he didn’t do it, he probably did do it. Obama’s been out of office for over two years now. Plenty of time to nurse Otto back to health for his release.

Yeah, ok, Rick Santorum.

So, the president answers a question in front of Kim like this.

TRUMP:Yes, that was disturbing. President Kim says he knew nothing about it, and did not order Otto’s death. This of course is a fuc*ing lie. Because as you well know, Kim and anyone who LOOKS like Kim are bold face POS, lying sacks of fresh possum crap liars.

“take him at his word” my take on that is Trump is tentatively accepting what he said, which is different from what the headline suggests.

I don't translate "taking him at his word" as "I believe him". I also believe that with any war, there are civilian casualties and the leaders must still negotiate. If we didn't engage bad leaders, we wouldn't be engaging very many countries.

I believe Kim Jong-un knew he had an American prisoner. I don’t think Americans who are held in noncombat times are normally brutalized. It’s possible that a rogue guard or even a prisoner beat Warmbier to unconsciousness, and Kim later had that person killed. Who knows. It was a horrific tragedy. But at this point, I think Trump is trying to maintain the fragile possibility for future nuclear disarmament and has to weigh his words carefully for the greater good.

Otto was released 5 months after he was arrested. At least trump got him home. What did Obama do from Jan 2016 to jan 2017 besides take vacations and play golf and campaign for his fellow rats???
