GOP nightmare as Alabama's Roy Moore signals he might run again
Washington Examiner ^ | 02/28/19

Roy Moore, a conservative lightning rod who cost the Republican Party a Senate seat in deep-red Alabama, is signaling fresh interest in mounting another campaign in 2020, sparking alarm on the right that Democratic Sen. Doug Jones could be gifted another unlikely victory.

Moore, 72, a former state judge, made the rounds at last Friday’s Alabama Republican Party dinner gala. A few days later, a new political action committee run by Moore’s son, Caleb Moore, issued an email fundraising appeal.

Republican insiders, including conservative allies of President Trump, fret that Moore — derailed by sexual assault allegations in a 2017 special election that should have been an easy layup — might divide the party in the primary and advance to a rematch with Jones. On Wednesday, a Moore confidant pointedly declined to rule out that his buddy might run for Senate next year.

I respect the former Judge Roy Moore but he messed up his campaign last run. What’s more shocking is HTH does Alabama elect the DemoRat instead?

90 minutes later and prospect of Judge Moore running again is still depressing. I’m sure somebody will post the story again this afternoon, and it will still be horrible. Ugh.

DOA. The notion that the Alabama GOP electorate would put themselves through it again is laughable

Right now, I am supporting Mo Brooks. I like Judge Moore and believe he was smeared. But he is not personally bigger than the seat he seeks. We need a solid conservative who is not a rallying call for radical left.

“The notion that the Alabama GOP electorate would put themselves through it again is laughable”

The man was not fit for federal office the first time he was nominated. What makes you think the Alabama GOP will not nominate him again?

I get mail from Moore. I have no idea why. dont live in that state, never donated. I would not vote for some one wasting money to mail letters whining about attacks against him years later to some one who can’t vote in that state and never sends donation.

I don’t care if it’s 2cents a letter he’s still wasting money not to mention any staff involvement/expense in the letters being made or being sent. I stopped reading them after the 2nd letter arrived some years ago and just toss them when i see from him. I almost want to send back empty envelopes to cause them more postage but the guy is decent, just wasteful, not evil like some political people.

First off, I’m in California so I have no room to criticize other foolish voters. If the President hadn’t ill-advisedly rubber stamped MConnell’s swamp candidate, Luther Strange, then Mo Brooks might have won the nomination, and he would have been elected. That said, apart from his disturbing predeliction, Moore was no less qualified than tons of sitting members of the Senate. I mean he was twice elected to the Supreme Court, I believe. At this point there’s no rehabilitating him, and he need to go away.

This GOP establishment nightmare was created when they opposed the conservative candidate Mo Brooks. The GOP establishment prefers having a Democratic Senator from Alabama over a conservative Republican.

GOP nightmare as Alabama's Roy Moore signals he might run again

He is too badly damaged. The media attack machine may have taken him out with lies, but too much of the public now accepts those media lies as true.

The best thing he can do is stay out, and I say that as someone who has relentlessly defended him all through the made up scandals and ever since.

The man was not fit for federal office the first time he was nominated.

And here are the enemy lies being repeated by people who should know better than to accept the crap they are fed by the media-weapon-system.

Considering Clinton and Obama, and a whole host of otherwise sh*tty human beings being elected to office, there is no such thing as "fit" for Federal office.

Roy Moore is a fine upstanding man who has been relentlessly smeared and backstabbed by his own party.

Did you watch the youtube.com video that shows the reduction in the total count of over 2,000 votes (16,028 dropped to 14,321 Roy Moore Write-in votes) of the COMPUTER TOTAL for JUDGE Roy Moore in just one minute, from 6:58 to 6:59 of the LIVE running voting COMPUTER COUNT video Seth Abramson posted, that he shows in his own video ?
Start at 4 minutes 33 seconds into THE VIDEO and go until 16:20, the end of the video.

Tell me ... WHEN does a running total vote count GO DOWN, and NOT UP ? ***********************

What you said. I see that U.S. Rep. Bradley Byrne has announced he is running in the GOP primary to run for Doug Jones seat. Mo knows!

Are you under the delusion that somebody stole the election from Roy Moore by changing the vote counts?

See a doctor.

Counties change vote counts all the time, in every election.

Only the final, certified count matters in every and all cases.

“That said, apart from his disturbing predeliction, Moore was no less qualified than tons of sitting members of the Senate. “

Moore was twice removed from office for refusing to comply with a superior court order (federal).

Not fit for office on that alone.

“And here are the enemy lies being repeated by people who should know better than to accept the crap they are fed by the media-weapon-system. “

My position is based on his known and certain performance in office and has nothing to do with his supposed predilection for young girls.

He was twice removed from office for refusing to comply with a superior court order. By the people of Alabama.

A federal judge should have jailed him for contempt.

He has/had no respect for the rule of law and believed HIS interpretation to be the superior authority. Which is just fine for an individual willing to pay the consequences.

But absolutely unacceptable for a judge.

He did not respect the rule of law and was unfit for office.

Sorry but this state official was removed by a federal judicial tyrant for purred violation of the federal bastardized interpretation of the First Amendment. Don’t get me wrong: I believe the allegations against him re picking up teenage girls was true, creepy, and disqualifying. That said, I would have voted for him because jones is worse
