As a brand new FReeper, it’s always good to kind of hang back a bit and get the lay of the land before posting. For example, it’s customary to indicate where the heck whatever you’re posting about is happening, and who the heck the people are that it’s happening to.
Dewey Beach is no mystery to any resident of the DelMarVa peninsula any more than Del Mar Beach would be to a SoCalifornian.
Plus the corruption discussed in the article is so typical of the political atmosphere of the state of Delaware, that it ought to be of national interest to a lot of FReepers.

Ah, yes, Dewey Beach... (Delaware). Mid ‘80s. Ventured north up the coast on a whim. Her name was Barbara. Way out of my league. Her old man was loaded and she was staying with some friends at their beach house. Crazy party and Barbara on the beach... fun times.
