The reactions of many on the left to the case of Jussie Smollett prove two important things:
1. There is little racism in America.
2. The left -- white and black -- is morally and psychologically impaired.
There is no doubt that most Americans on the left, including black Americans, are distraught over the fact that Smollet faked the "racist" attack on him. Apparently, leftists, Democratic leaders and, most depressingly, many of his fellow blacks wish Smollett had been attacked by white racist homophobes.
Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., a white leftist, tweeted, "I hope this was not something that Mr. Smollett did to himself, or created...."
Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart told MSNBC there has been "an atmosphere of menace and hate" since Donald Trump was elected president, which made "people want to believe" Smollett's story. Exactly. Capehart a black leftist, wanted to believe that racists yelling "This is MAGA country" beat up blacks.

I totally disagree with the inferred premise that 'racism' is a white thing.
The issue is never the issue, the issue is always the Revolution.
The demand for racism against blacks and hate against gays far exceeds the supply...
Cuz they’re afraid the jig is up.
I think some people want to be a victim because it validates the belief “I’m not getting ahead in life and it’s not my fault, it’s Their fault.” You can place your own failures onto someone else.
They want the illusion of racism because without it, class warfare, as a political tool to seize power, wouldn’t exist.
It’s the glorification of victimization as the highest societal ideal.
If Smollett wasn’t assaulted as per the staged story, he’s STILL the victim of the oppressive atmosphere of Trump.
So many miss that.
Because it ‘fits’ their ‘world view’ so it reinforces their perceived, preconceived notion of oppression by the white man........................
The want any little bit of propaganda they can use against Trump and us.
Divide and conquer...........................
Victimology needs victims.
It doesn’t matter if they’re merely asserted to be victims, such as with those merely affected by the past but not actually afflicted themselves, or whatever ... even fake victims will do ... but fake victims need to be defensible as not being fake.
Blatantly fake victims not only are unusable but can be used to demonstrate that the Left is dishonest and its claims, and therefore prescriptions, are not to be trusted.

Well, since "racism" is a 20th century neologism with no fixed meaning, you are both right (using your definition) and wrong (using the narrative's preferred definition).
What you SHOULD be disagreeing with is using words with no fixed meaning at all.
But they're really upset that he wasn't actually attacked my Trump supporters so they could use the incident to blame Trump.
