The empirical data speaks for itself.
Dallas has a very “gay-friendly” area of town with a very supportive environment for “gay” life. Yet, the Turtle Creek Chorale’s website (”gay” men’s chorus) had a “member memorial” web page full of death notices and rememberences for members dying in their 40’s on average. When they didn’t list the cause of death as AIDS, they simply said the member “passed away quietly at home.” We know what that means.
That is actually close to the avg. death age of gays. It has been there for a long time because I have been reading that stat for a long time. AIDs certainly hasn't helped the situation; but, they were dying at younger ages than heterosexual people for a long time.
Gay men lead a very risky life style. Anonymous sex in public bathrooms or other public places is a thing for them. They get other "sex" diseases, not just AIDs, and they get those diseases multiple times over and over again. It strains their immune system.
That type of life style is going to have risks and will reduce your longevity. Their lifestyle is what kills them so early, AIDs is just part of it; but, their entire lifestyle is at fault. Whether or not they live in a "gay" friendly area or an anti-gay area is not a factor. How they live their lives is the main factor.
