Ireland will take back extremists who have travelled to fight with terrorist groups like Isil, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said.
While he indicated each case would have to be considered on its own merits, Mr Varadkar said this country shouldnt expect our citizens to be somebody elses problem.
An estimated half-dozen Irish passport holders are believed to be still operating on behalf of Islamic State (Isil) in Syria.
Amen! Same for me and so many others. The hearts blood of that island are here in the USA.
When you cant win a war the normal way terrorism is plan B
There’s an easy way to make them “not anybody else’s problem” and not one’s own problem either. But I doubt they are willing to do it.
I’m sure the IRA will be happy to let them in their ranks.
I am of Irish descent on both my mom and dad’s side. I have a strong disposition toward red-heads and watching Riverdance brings me to tears. All that said, Ireland’s pro-Nazism in WWII and all the other eye-poking crap have killed any affection I might have had for the country. ‘F’-em.
