In a swipe at gun owners, Governor Pat Quinn cut more than half of the budget for the Illinois state police office that handles these checks. Quinn, an ardent gun control advocate, did this to create long backlogs and delays in issuing Firearm Owners’ Identification Cards. Sometimes it seems that Democrats just want to make life difficult for gun owners.

So Illinois' failure means we need more background checks?!?
Illinois is an FOID issuing state. Citizens whose FOID is revoked will suffer the same fate as if a Red Flag warrant is issued: the police show up unannounced and seize their guns.
So sick and tired of hearing this same old tired song about taking away our Constitutionally protected God given natural rights.
The entire country should rise up in one very loud voice and say STFU already.
I use it to call for more guns at workplaces.
Think of all the bad crazy guys that could attack any given workplace TOMORROW and every day for the next 20 years. They already have their stuff and no new background checks will make any difference.
Arm up your workplace accordingly, today.
The real check should be on most of the mass murderers who are clinically psychopathic and leftist and known to be BEFORE they massacre by the mental health field and other agencies.

I’m stuck in this crap myself as we speak. I attempted to renew my CCL 6 weeks ago and they are still sitting on it. It expires March 10 and I think they are trying to run out the clock on me. If it expires then I have to start all over from scratch with training class, prints, fees etc. Can’t get through on phone...an automated system tells you how busy they are then disconnects with no further options. Not responsive to emails. I’ve enlisted help from a gun friendly state senator but so far that hasn’t yielded any results. What a sons of bitching state.

Call for the end of racist affirmative action hiring and hire people based on their job qualifications not the color of their skin.
Maybe if the did the background check right the first time, this stuff might work. This one is on the State of Il.
Join with a local, state or national organization and file suit. Title 18, U.S.C., Section 242 (Deprivation of rights under color of law).

Of course they do. You cannot overthrow a Republic unless you disarm the law abiding citizens first.
