RE: Judaism inspires the first openly gay politician in Michigan state office
What ever it is than inspires this openly gay politician, It can’t be Judaism. Unless you redefine Judaism and ignore the Torah and the teachings of Moses on sexual morality.

God still calls the practice of homosexuality an abomination.

Reformed Jews have done a bang up job using the Talmud and the "legal" term ahnoos to say man-on-man sexual relations, female-on-female sexual relations, as well as transsexuals are fine if you are "pre-conditioned" to these "impulses". This has been going on since the mid-1970s, not sure where you have been. Israel is also a favorite destination for degenerates; Tel-Aviv has one of the largest "gay pride" festivals in the world. Heck, Jerusalem has been hosting "gay pride" events since 2002 although not as large as Tel-aviv.
