Sounds good to me.
This sounds good but what he is talking about is not helping the border patrol. When he talks about putting troops in trucks he is referring MSC trucks. They have done this in the past but it is not helpful. The reason being is that these trucks are set up in remote locations and in the past if national guard troops were in the trucks a border patrol agent had to be near by and available in case of an emergency. In other words it did not free up any agents.
The other issue is that surveillance is great to help catch people but it does not stop anyone from crossing. Once they cross they can apply for asylum and it cost us money to process them.
Bottom line is that we need a better barrier and a better deterrence.
