No Democrat running for president has had a better 2019 than Kamala Harris. The numbers tell the tale. The California senator was in the low single digits in polls conducted before her official launch on January 28. She is now in the low double digits, running third behind Joe Biden, who enjoys cosmic name recognition, and Bernie Sanders, whose devoted supporters brought him a second-place finish last time. But polls do not tell the whole story.
Harris raised $1.5 million in the day after declaring her candidacy. That number, impressive for a senator not even a third of the way through her first term, has been bested only by Sanders, a socialist who has a venture capitalist's talent for raising money. He brought in $5.9 million in the first 24 hours of his campaign. Harris, however, has something Sanders does not.
She is a fresh face of middle age (54 years) and of diverse background (her father is Jamaican, her mother Indian) whose chief rivals at the moment are two geriatric white men. As Democrats search for someone new to lead them against President Trump, Harris has distinguished herself from the field. Her CNN town hall drew record ratings, while Amy Klobuchar's flopped. And Harris leads the 2020 Democrats in social media interactions, according to an Axios/Newswhip study. She's had a good launch. But there's a caveat.

Hot Lips Harris.
Kamala Harris offers the same thing as Obama; a soulless token who will do the white liberal masters’ bidding. She is an obvious panderer, pushing insulting racial stereotypes about both Jamaicans and black college students in general, to drum up popularity. Also, she is only “young” in comparison to Sanders and Biden; both Obama and Bill Clinton were closer to their mid-40s when elected, while she is in her mid-50s (not that she is “old”, but they are pretending she is much younger).
In the end, I simply don’t see libs responding to her; she isn’t “black” enough, has a white husband, and worked for “The Man” as a prosecutor. I particularly see no enthusiasm for her in the snowflakes.

If she is born in US, she’s naturalized. Under the 14th Amendment, she qualifies.
She could make some good trade deals by offering up her body... again.
There is a specific exception in the Constitution verified by the Supreme Court, Congressional legislation, and international treaty: Children of diplomats are not citizens of their host country, regardless of where they are born.

6 months from now when the Harris candidacy is autopsied, they’ll say it was that, her hand waving in your face femsplaining and hectoring, her Kavanaugh ridiculousness and her association with the Smollet hoax that brought her to her knees and all but handed the nomination to the democrat “realist” - the child favoring Creepy Joe Biden.

I really thought Harris would be more polished and smoother than this. A more polished candidate. Ready for Prime Time.
Unfortunately this is what happens when you sleep your way to higher positions. You never learn the skills needed to advance on your own and your deficiencies become apparent. Very apparent.
Poor Kamala. All that time pressing the flesh with an aged, wrinkled and sweaty Willie Brown only to find out she isn’t all that after all.
Why then do they call her "African-American", when she is anything but?

I don’t know why so many have such a hard time understanding this.
“Parents” is plural.
Even if it weren’t: even if it referred to a single parent (which it doesn’t), Obama failed the test on both the father’s side and the mother’s side (she had not been over 18 for five years).
Yet millions of posts have been labored over, arguing this point, during the Obama era and currently. Since Harris has announced her campaign, another couple of years of arguing the facts are guaranteed.
I appreciate your steadfastness. Perhaps a few minds will be tilted towards questioning the received wisdom; the rest have made up their minds to side with the “if you are born in the U.S. you can become president” theory. It is not true. But you cannot fight it alone.
