Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. Whoever does not take up their cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.” — Matthew 10:37-39
I have noted that far too many people seem to reassess their notions of right and wrong, particularly with respect to the sin of homosexuality, just because someone they care about is involved in it.
But really their action when they do so is far worse than how society views it if they stood ground, for not only do they place themselves in harm’s way via Romans 1:18-32 should they persists they also lose any witness to influence their loved ones and draw them back from the broad way that leads to destruction AND also arguably armor them when others try to do so (my folks support me so who are you to tell me it’s bad being the kind of response I expect from the homosexual child).
Romans Ch 1
32 Although they know Gods righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
