This was pure raw rage on the old man's part. He had lined up some donkey humper who would pay a good price for his daughter in cash, land, or livestock. Then she defies him and says ‘no’. Women are less than livestock to most Pak men. Killing a female relative is no big thing compared to the old man's ego. This woman was foolish to ever leave Italy.
