My fellow Freepers, Although we may at time agree or disagree about the thoughts and postings of others this site unlike others does not charge a fee to be here. Jim Robinson has never, in my 20 years here even threatened to become a pay to play environment regardless of the positions taken by those who post here.
He depends on donations and does not assault our senses with any commercials or ads to suck us into needless distractions to provide him and his team with funds.
Instead he relies on the good will and respect of all here to help him keep the lights on. I myself have switched to a monthly automated donation, it is a small price to pay for this priceless treasure and lone outpost of free speech across the Internet. Additionally, monthly donations allow him and his team to budget and focus on site operations versus the need to remind us non intrusively that bills must be paid.
So in closing, whether you like my posting or not that you take a moment and picture what would happen if you do not support this site? Where would you go that is anywhere near what you enjoy by coming here.
I have made my choice and I contribute monthly, and I hope you will too. The alternative for not supporting Jim and his team is too painful to contemplate.
