From what I have read, the FISA warrants were sent to the court for their approval without any personal representation to the courts who did not question anyone about the warrants. It was strictly a paper exercise with the FISA court rubber- stamping the requests as they do 99.9% of the time.

And us silly peasants were told that our rights would be protected, that the FISA court would be strict to avoid gubmint unfair investigation of ordinary Americans.

Gov’t trusting Govt. A loser any way you look at it.
