A family member’s value as a loved individual is priceless.
That said, very few people on this earth are worth a ‘lost wages’ estimate of $37 Million Dollars.
That sum seems unrealistic. I’m presuming a jury made that decision, mostly based on empathy and sentiment.
Whoever requested that amount must have known it would eventually be reduced. Take a settlement. This is not the Lottery.

From what I recall the initial reward was a gigantic travesty of justice. A criminal got me n a firefight with police, and then the family was awarded this insane amount of money. Just disgusting.

Had it matched the increasingly clear and sordid circumstances of the recent HOUSTON imbroglio, I’d admonish that every penny of the $32 million was condign.
